Biography:
In her practice, Kathy Mercogliano focuses on real estate, small business law, civil litigation, adoption, estate planning, wills and trusts, home owners associations, traffic court and DUI.
Kathy was raised in the Fuquay-Varina area and graduated as valedictorian from Harnett Central High School. She attended UNC Chapel Hill as an undergraduate and received a degree in Nursing. After college, she joined the U.S. Navy in the nurse corps.
Ms. Mercogliano worked as an operating room nurse for nine years, during which time she observed the need for patient advocates. That experience inspired her to attend law school.
While in law school, Kathy worked on the Law Review and graduated with honors. She worked for Womble Carlyle in tobacco litigation. She opened a solo practice in 2004.
Kathy lives with her husband and son in Northwestern Harnett. When she’s away from the office, she enjoys water sports, athletics and time with family.
